David de Vries (Mr.
Kelly/Charles Parker/ Mill Worker #1) returns to the Alliance
Theatre having last appeared as Ross in Rebecca Gilman’s Spinning
into Butter. Other Alliance credits include Arcadia,
Shadowlands, Laughing Wild, Dancing at Lughnasa, The
Sisters Rosenweig, One Last Summer and Sight Unseen
(director). David spent two years performing on Broadway as Lumiere
in Beauty and the Beast as well as the show’ two National
Tours and its Canadian Company. In Atlanta, he has been seem in
Death of a Salesman, The Glass Menagerie and Lips
Together, Teeth Apart at Theatre in the Square, Cheever Evening
and Eastern Standard at Horizon Theatre and performed in French for
the Theatre du Reve in Antigone and The Bald Soprano.
Regional theatre credits include Actors Theatre of Louisville ad
Charlotte Repertory Theatre. Film/ TV: Remember the Titans,
Wayward Son, Livin’ Large, “I’ll Fly Away”, “Mayflower Madam”,
“In the Heat of the Night”, “A Passion for Justice”. David is a
graduate of American University and a three time “Jenny” award
winner. He is past president of the Atlanta chapter of AFTRA and has
hundreds of voiceovers on TV and radio to his credit, as well as
narrating the American Library Association notable recording award
winner “Why Don’t You Get a Horse, Sam Adams?”.
