Henry Stram (Singer)
An alumni member of The Acting Company, Henry has appeared on
Broadway in The Crucible and Titanic. Off Broadway
credits include: The Persians (National Actors Theatre);
Unwrap Your Candy, Christina Alberta’s Father (Vineyard
Theatre); The Winter’s Tale, Timon of Athens, Henry
V, Dancing on Her Knees, On The Open Road, All’s Well That Ends
Well, A Bright Room Called Day (Public Theatre); The Grey
Zone (Manhattan Class Company); Waste (Theatre for A New
Audience); Eddie Goes to Poetry City, My Head Was A Sledgehammer,
The Mind King (Ontological-Hysteric Theatre). Recent regional
theatre works includes: The Singing Forest, (Long Wharf
Theatre); R Shomon (Williamstown Theatre Festival);
Embarrassments (The Wilma Theatre); The Importance of Being
Earnest, Wonderful Tennessee (McCarter Theatre); Lipstick
Traces (Rude Mechs). His film appearances include roles in
“The
Grey Zone”,
“Cradle
Will Rock”,
“Illuminata”
and, on television, in “Law and Order”, “Law and Order: Criminal
Intent”, “Enterprise” and “Kingpin”. Henry is a graduate of the
Juilliard School Drama Division. With The Acting Company, he toured
the country in 1977-78 and performed off-Broadway and at the Old Vic
in London in the alumni production of The Cradle Will Rock
directed by John Houseman. Henry is a recipient of a 1996 Obie Award
for Sustained Excellence of Performance, a 2000 Fox Fellowship and a
2004 Spencer Chershore Grant.
